This was a course assignment from University of Lapland. The brief was to design a Coat of Arms for your own family, following the Finnish rules of heraldry. In the past my family were farmers who owned forests and fields, which was an important source of inspiration for me. The project includes a simple heraldic shield and a fancier version with all of the extra toppings.
